About Ozge Ertoptamis
Ozge draws an in-depthly historical and materially sensitive approach to Architecture and Design. She sees design as an opportunity for a thorough historical research leading onto exquisite interventions that would transport one’s memories and senses. Identifying the truths that make a place, space or an object special and then bringing them to life verbally, visually, and experientially is at the core of Atelier Rouje.
Born near Istanbul, Ozge Ertoptamis grew up in this ancient cosmopolitan city of many layers. Ozge carried out her architectural studies at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, where she looked at the notions of memory, space, and time through her own methodology. After graduating she pursued her education at METU Industrial Design between 2003-2007.
In 2021, after working for 17 years in Istanbul and in New York collaborating with EAA, Ozge founded Atelier Rouje. She now lives and designs in New York / Miami / Istanbul.
